This experience will be like none other offered at Camp of the Rising Son. With a select group you will receive explicit teaching focused on leadership from a Biblical perspective. There will also be time for recreation in addition to time to study God’s Word. You will have the opportunity to practice your newly learned skills through working to serve the staff and campers as well as participating in the regular camp program. You will leave camp with a better understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ and leadership skills that apply to life outside of camp.
New for 2010 our LTPs will have the opportunity to select their service emphasis. Each LTP can concentrate on our traditional Camp of the Rising Son summer camps for ages 7-12 or our new Rising Son Adventures horse camps for ages 13-18. Then the LTP will spend part of his or her day serving under the supervision of the staff in their chosen area.
This unique program is open to a limited number each week. The LTP program participants are admitted after their application has been received and screened. The cost of the 2010 L.T.P. program is $315.00 per week. A $100 deposit is required to hold a spot in the desired program week, this deposit will be refunded if the applicant is not admited into the program. The LTP program runs from Sunday afternoon through Saturday, ending at the Awards Ceremony in the Pow Wow at 9:30 a.m.
